Deliverance Poker’s lawsuit against TiltWare LLC (FullTiltPoker) and Michael Mizrachi has been dismissed without prejudice by US District Court Judge James Nowlin. The case could potentially be reopened if new evidence comes to light. Fans may remember Mizrachi donning patches for a strange site called DeliverancePoker during the 2010 WSOP. The site’s motto “Don’t get screwed on the River” promises that players won’t get sucked out on, likely meaning players would be awarded money in the pot based off of their equity in the case of an all-in. The site, however, never came to fruition and Mizrachi soon switched to those cool vinyl FullTilt patches during his WSOP Main Event run. It would seem that DeliverancePoker will remain nothing more than a novel idea.

Professional poker player Jon “fatalerror” Aguiar has accused Joe Sebok of blackmailing he and his girlfriend over his frequent and disparaging UB remarks over twitter on a New, Views, and Gossip thread on TwoPlusTwo. Aguiar alleges receiving a direct message from Sebok stating
“Might wanna chill on the UB hate a little, man. You + your gf may have a skeleton or two that you wouldn’t want public, no? Chill out.”
Twitter and TwoPlusTwo soon erupted with drama and, not surprisingly, predictable analysis over said drama (such as the one-size-fits-all “This is so high school, lol.” Aguiar’s forty plus page

FullTiltPoker.com…I mean “.net” has recently announced a new super high roller series of tournaments called the “ONYX Cup.” The events will feature buy-ins ranging from $100k-$300k with a $250k final and also utilizes a tournament board to keep track of league standings and points earned. It will be interesting to see whether FullTilt encounters any of the regulatory problems with branding that PokerStars has faced as of recent, with their last second branding loss of the NAPT Event at the Bicycle Casino, which was adopted and saved, only to be named the “Big Event” (?) and supposedly run by the Bike staff. Former Poker2Nite (deceased), Big Poker Sunday (deceased,) and All Strategy (deceased) host Scott Huff will join his friend and partner in comedy Joe Stapleton on the upcoming season of PokerStars.net The Big Game. The announcement was made by the two on the Monday night episode of PokerRoad Radio at the Bay 101 Shooting Star. The two have collaborated for years on their popular, non-poker comedy show “Two Jacks in the Hole”, which was recently re-branded as “Huff & Stapes.” If their brilliant work together on PokerRoad is any indication, expect the duo to have incredible chemistry. Stapleton noted that Chris Rose left the show on his own accord, hinting at the possibility of greater future endeavors for the Fox and Fox Sports serial host. Season 2 is set to air in June.
Big pot craving, adrenaline junkie Jonathan Duhamel, who guaranteed victory going into the final table has done just that, capturing poker’s most coveted bracelet and 9 million dollars, becoming the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion. Interestingly enough, PokerStars has managed once again to patchup the eventual champion with its logo, meaning Duhamel will join the likes of Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, Joe Hachem, Peter Eastgate, and Joe Cada as PokerStars sponsored Main Event winners. Considering the opposition’s only winner is prayrring, mirrron raising Jerry Yang, it would appear that FullTilt simply runs bad. Final table breakdown at WSOP.com.
Maybe the term role model is a bit sarcastic when used to describe the 11time Bracelet winner (in case you didn’t know) referred to as the “Poker Brat.” However…Kudos to Hellmuth for raising money for kids, even if he’s sending out press releases left and right informing the public all about it. The “All In” (clever name there) charity poker tournament raised more than $900,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Let’s just hope that if this show actually happens, it’s not like “Tilt,” “All in the Movie” and every other cliche-ridden piece of garbage in the spectrum of fictional poker entertainment. Given the fact that the creators of “Weeds” are behind it, we may have some hope.
